Prominent Muslim personalities and organizations in India have strongly condemned the July 1 suicide bombings inside the shrine of Sufi mystic Syed Ali Hajveri in Lahore, according to an Urdu language daily.
Sayeed Noori, chairman of the Mumbai-based Raza Academy, said that the terrorists who carried out the attacks are doing the work of Jews, who are the ‘‘real terrorists’’ who target mosques and shrines, according to a report in the Urdu-language daily Roznama Rashtriya Sahara.
Syed Mohammed Qadri, President of the Muslim Students Organization of India, said that every time Islam has endured heavy a loss, it was because of those who were strengthening the hands of Jews.
Advocate Mudassir Naqshbandi of the Imam Ahmad Raza Institute in Kashmir said, “Such attacks are the part of Jewish conspiracies and should be condemned in the strongest terms.”
Syed Sarwar Chishti of Ajmer Dargah, a shrine in Rajasthan state, blamed the Taliban for the attack, describing the conservative Wahabi group as a threat to India, Pakistan and all of humanity, according to a report in The Times of India newspaper.
